If you're like us, you sometimes end up with a weird smell in your vehicle; maybe it was that tiny amount of milk that spilled, or maybe it was an old coffee container leaking, or maybe it's because your dog got went and jumped into the back seat. Either way, it's not good, so we've got five easy options for those of your suffering from odor woes.

  • Vacuum all seats and surfaces to hopefully suck out anything that might be causing the problem.
  • A sprinkle of baking soda on the troublesome surfaces can absorb a bad smell as well.
  • Place a piece of charcoal in the area where the smell is and, overnight, it should be absorbed. Be sure to place the charcoal on something that won't stain!
  • A cotton ball with vanilla, some mint, coffee grounds, or any other natural air freshener will at least help cover the unwanted scent, if not remove it.
  • If your vehicle smells like gasoline, it might mean you have a fuel line leak or something else bad! Simply schedule a service appointment with us here at Jim Falk Lincoln of Maui and we'll help you out as quickly as we can.
