Why you should use the proper windshield washer fluid

Windshield washer fluid is important for several reasons. Those reasons include:

• Safety - Your safety is partly reliant on the ability to clean the windshield as needed. The proper windshield washer fluid cleans dirt and grime off of the windshield without leaving streaks. A clean windshield means you can see where you are going and what might be in your way, in turn making you and your passengers safer.
• Less costly repairs - Windshield washer fluid is also a lubricant for the windshield washer system. That system has a pump and hoses in it that need to be lubricated often. If they do not get lubricated than they will dry out, crack, and erode. When that happens, you can end up with leaks and or a system that does not work at all. That means costly repairs.
